Get Fit, Stay Healthy, Be Happy |
Hi! I'm Elise, I'm 25 and I've created this fitblr to keep myself motivated, educated and accountable in my health and fitness journey. |
Sorry I’ve been MIA for a little while. I’ve been unwell and then super busy with work but I’m still on track! One thing I have been doing is 50 jumping jacks and 50 squats every morning bedore my shower. I think this a great tip for those who are just getting started with weight loss because it takes no time at all and is easy to build into your morning routine. I think some people get put off with starting a weight loss journey because they feel like it will be too hard to do and to keep up but these little tips are so easy!
Healthy banana choc chip muffins (Taken with Instagram) You can find the recipe on Taralynn McNitt’s blog, undressed skeleton under ‘Better Breakfasts’. They don’t look particularly pretty but they taste great!

I missed my group gym session last week because of work which made this week a killer. Never missing a week at the gym again!

Try this yoga routine in the morning to open up and get ready for the day.

Herb and garlic crumbed fish and vegetables for dinner. I added parmesan to the vegetables because I read today that it is the cheese with the highest amount of calcium. 40grams of Parmesan provides a female with half her recommended calcium intake for the day.
Oat cakes for a healthy snack!
I made these from a recipe in James Duigan’s ‘Clean & Lean Cookbook’ with a few additions of my own.
Recipe:
100grams rolled oats
200 low fat cottage cheese
4 eggs
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
(I added 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed and some strawberries)
Put all the ingredients, except strawberries into a blender and blend until smooth. When cooking them in a pan I used coconut oil and poured them into egg rings so they were the perfect snack size. Added the strawberries while they were cooking and flipped after 2-3 minutes. Once cooled I put 2 into zip lock bags for a quick grab and go snack!
Let me know if you try these and what you think of them. Enjoy!
